Morpheus8 Treatment in Leeds

Feel more confident in your own skin using Morpheus8. Combining micro needling with radiofrequency technology for fractional skin resurfacing, Morpheus8 stimulates collagen production to help your skin maintain a radiant, youthful look.

By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, tissues of the face and body can be remodelled to create a natural anti-ageing process and result in a more youthful appearance.

Morpheus laser penetrates deep into the skin and fat – this process morphs the ageing face or body into a more desired smooth and sleek appearance. The stimulated collagen has a fibre-like structure and is used to make connective tissue, which improves the structure of your skin.

Is My Skin Type Suitable for Morpheus8?

The treatment is suitable for all skin tones and types, including acne sufferers, and can be used on various areas of the body including the face, neck, arms, stomach or legs.

Despite being applied externally, the Morpheus8 device allows one of our qualified nurses to target deep layers of a patient’s skin for greater collagen production.

What To Expect With The Morpheus Facial Treatment

The Morpheus facial treatment is a straightforward procedure – here is what you can expect before, during and after the treatment

Before Morpheus treatment

Before the Morpheus8 treatment you will be invited to partake in a consultation. During this consultation we will outline the procedure and what you can expect from the treatment, including potential side effects to expect and aftercare recommendations. We will discuss your goals and reasons for wanting to undertake treatment, ensuring you receive a fully personalised service that is tailored to your individual needs.

Before the Morpheus8 treatment begins, and to ensure your safety, we recommend you follow the advice below:

  • Do not actively partake in sun tanning during the 28 days leading up to the treatment.
  • Avoid the use of retinol-based products for 7 days prior to treatment.
  • Advise your therapist if you suffer from cold sores.
  • Ensure you bring a list of any medication you are taking.

During Morpheus treatment

Before starting the treatment, anaesthetic gel will be applied to the target area. Once the area is numb, the Morpheus8 treatment will begin. The device will then be used to bring radiofrequency energy to the area that is being treated.

Treatment sessions are typically an hour and a half long, which is split into 45 mins to 1 hour of numbing time followed by the treatment which will take around 30 to 45 minutes.

After Morpheus treatment

There is typically very little downtime following the Morpheus8 treatment, meaning you are most likely able to get back to your normal daily activities the very next day. However, redness at the site of treatment and skin peeling does usually take place for around five days following the treatment. This is not usually particularly painful, though you may feel some irritation. A cold compress on the affected area can help to reduce some of the redness.

We also recommend you follow the below aftercare advice to ensure you maximise the results of treatment:

  • For 24 hours following the treatment, avoid using any products with active ingredients. Please ask your therapist if you’re unsure of which products to avoid.
  • Avoid the sun for one month after treatment and apply a factor 50 Broad spectrum sunblock.
  • Do not pick or remove any dead or peeling skin.
  • If you have any concerns please contact the clinic as soon as possible – our friendly team are always happy to help answer any questions.

What Are The Side Effects Of Morpheus8 Treatment?

The side effects of the Morpheus8 treatment may include redness and swelling to the treated area, which usually subsides within five days of the treatment. The micro needling may also create small scabs in the first 24 – 72 hours following treatment – to prevent scarring it is important to let your skin heal naturally and avoid picking at the scabs. Once the underlying skin has completely healed these scabs should shed, but if you have any questions please contact the Evolve Medical clinic.

Who Will Carry Out The Morpheus8 Treatment?

What Is Morpheus8 Prime?

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that pairs micro-needling with radiofrequency (RF) energy. The treatment is controlled, safe and effective with minimal bleeding during the procedure.

What Is The Difference Between Morpheus8 And Morpheus8 Prime?

Morpheus8 Prime is more suitable for treating small and hard-to-reach tissue areas, especially curved or bony areas such as the periorbital area, forehead, nose and upper lip.

What Are The Benefits of Morpheus8 Prime?

The treatment can provide long-lasting results, such as improved skin texture, increased collagen production and reduced cellulite. Morpheus8 Prime also requires no anaesthetic or surgical incisions which means no scarring should occur as a result of the procedure. The treatment is suitable for any skin type and aims to reduce lines and wrinkles in patients of all ages.

How Does Morpheus8 Prime Work?

The device uses tiny needles to deliver RF energy to different depths of the skin. The needles and heat from the RF energy create micro-injuries, which trigger your body’s natural healing response and promote the production of new collagen and elastin, to firm the skin and lessen wrinkles.

The Morpheus8 Prime procedure takes around 90 minutes to complete, separated into 45 minutes for numbing and 30 minutes of treatment time.

Morpheus8 Prime Aftercare

The treatment typically has very little downtime, with full recovery expected to be made in a couple of days. After the procedure, the skin may be pink and slightly puffy as your body begins the healing process. In some cases, patients may experience some mild bruising, usually in more delicate and bony areas.

We look forward to welcoming you to Evolve Medical very soon. For more information on our treatments and procedures, please contact our team or book online.
