Dermaplaning Treatments

Dermaplaning is an exfoliation method that uses a surgical scalpel blade to gently scrape the surface layer off the skin. The surface layer usually has dead skin cells, dirt and other particles preventing you from enjoying glowing skin. Also the top layer of skin often has small pale fuzzy hair so dermaplaning can be a great solution for facial hair removal.

How long does this treatment take?

Treatment time is around 30 – 45 minutes.

Does it hurt?

Dermaplaning is effective by performing a gentle scraping motion across the skin’s surface. With hair removal such as waxing and threading, most people have the idea that all hair removal is painful, but Dermaplaning is entirely painless.

Will it make the hair on my face grow back thicker and darker?

When your hair begins to grow back it might feel different because the hair was cut straight across, but it’s actually the same texture as before and grows at the same speed. It might seem thicker because the hair was cut by the scalpel instead of having a natural point to it.

How often can I have it done?

Dermaplaning can be performed every 3-4 weeks. The treatment itself removes approximately 21 days worth of dead skin so it is important to let your skin rejuvenate before your next appointment.

What are the benefits?

This procedure will give your skin a more radiant appearance. Following the treatment, makeup application is smoother and other skincare products are able to penetrate deeper in turn making them more effective.
