Skincare -The Products We Love

We all know there is nothing better than a good skincare routine that actually works and makes you feel and look amazing. At evolve we are obsessed with skincare and finding all of the right products to give people beautiful skin. So read below if you’re interested to know what our teams’ favourite skincare products include.

Aesthetic Nurse Director Rachel

Rachel’s favourite skincare product by far is the Skinceuticals Hydrating B5. She recommends to mix a few drops in with your daily moisturiser for that extra boost of hydration. Hydrating B5 is a lightweight serum enriched with high concentrations of hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5. Hyaluronic acid acts to bind moisture to the skin in order to increase hydration, B5 then acts as a booster to maximise the benefits of your daily moisturiser. This product is not only for those with normal / dry skin, hydrating b5 can help to control the oil production of someone with oily skin. This product provides skin with the moisture it needs, preventing the skin from over producing oil.

Clinic Manager Sally

Sally loves to be out in the sun so SPF is one of the most important parts of her routine. Sally’s favourite product is the Heliocare factor 50 invisible spray. This spray is so easy to use and is absorbed into the skin quickly so is amazing for people who hate rubbing in sun cream until the white cast has gone. Not only is it factor 50+, it is also enriched with fern block, this is a powerful antioxidant which helps to prevent sunburn. The spray can be used on both the body and the face. Sally says “this is the only sun cream that doesn’t give my daughter prickly heat “.

Nurse Practitioner Sarah

Sarah is in love with the Elastiderm eye-cream. It puts the elasticity back into the skin and improves fine lines and wrinkles in the under and upper eye area! It also helps to improve dark circles. An essential tool to prevent and improve signs of ageing!

Beauty Therapist Laura

A product Laura highly recommends is the Dermalogica Clearing Retinol Oil. Laura loves to incorporate this into her skincare regime. This oil is ideal for adults that are suffering from breakouts and the effects of aging. The retinol and salicylic acid in this product combine to create a skin smoothing formula. The retinol helps to reduce visible signs of aging by reducing the appearance of wrinkle and firming the skin. Salicylic acid helps any breakouts on the skin as well as any breakouts which are forming under the skin by getting deep into the pores and breaking down any particles which will cause the breakouts. Together these two ingredients give maximum results with minimum irritation!!

Beauty Therapist Rosie

Rosie has recently started using the Neostrata Clarify facewash. This wash is targeted towards oily, blemish prone skin. Rosie incorporates this into her routine twice daily, first in the morning before applying any other products and then on an evening after removing any makeup or excess debris on the skin. This cleanser is a soap & fragrance free, gel cleanser formulated with Mandelic acid, this is a gentle AHA used to chemically exfoliate oily skin. Chemical exfoliated is Rosie’s preferred method of exfoliation as it is far gentler on the skin than a physical exfoliant which can cause irritation to the skin. It also contains salicylic acid which is well known to help clarify pores and improve overall texture of the skin.

Patient Co-ordinator Emma

Emma loves to incorporate the SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier into her skincare regime, she applies it before her moisturiser on a morning. This serum contains a high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid and purple rice extract. These ingredients help to support the skins natural moisture to enhance the plumpness, elasticity and firmness of the skin. This product is great for people with fine lines, starting to lose the firmness of their skin!

Patient Co-ordinator Hannah

Hannah is in love with the Dermalogica Pre-cleanse, it plays a major part in her skincare routine. Pre-cleanse is a great oil-based cleanser that removes any make-up and impurities from the skin. Hannah loves to use it as the first step in her double cleanse. Double cleansing is an amazing technique to incorporate into your routine. The first cleanse (using Pre-cleanse) removes any make-up, sun cream, oil, or environmental pollutants on the skin from the day. The second cleanse should be done with a cleanser which is tailored to your skin type. The pre-cleanse has already taken away all make-up and impurities so your second cleanser can penetrate into the skin and treat any problems. Hannah has oily skin so usually stays away from oil-based products, but this is an all-time favourite of hers.

Patient Co-ordinator Olivia

Olivia’s all-time favourite product is the Obagi Elastiderm Eye-cream. This is because of the amazing results it gives. These can be found on the obagi website along with all of the fantastic reviews! The cream is an amazing topical product that improves the tone, texture and elasticity of the skin around the eyes. Both Olivia and her husband have seen amazing results from this cream. They use it twice daily.

Physiotherapist Rebecca

Rebecca loves the Skinceuticals range, it was hard for her to choose her favourite product. She has used the restore ultra-moisturising face cream for the longest time and can’t get enough of it. This cream is ideal for all skin types including dry/sensitive, it provides gentle antiaging by enhancing the texture of the skin and restoring the skins moisture barrier, using PHA. A PHA in skincare is used to exfoliates dead skin and reduces the appearance of skin damage.

Brow Clinic Emma

On a daily basis, Emma loves to use our Heliocare tinted Spf in shade “light”. This product is great for those who like to have a short skincare/makeup routine in a morning, as it provides you with the protection your skin needs and the coverage you want, whilst still looking natural.
