Excessive Sweating Botox – Hyperhydrosis

Botulinum Toxin is injected into the underarm to reduce excessive sweating.
Sweating is a natural response to regulate our bodies temperature, a process that will almost certainly happen during exercise or when we have hot weather.
Excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis) means that you sweat much more – even when you are not hot or exercising. Clients can find this very embarrassing and distressing. They may even struggle to wear the clothes they desire.
Having Botox injected into the armpit usually has excellent results. Following a test using iodine and starch the area is marked out where the sweat is present. The armpit is then injected very superficially several times.
The Botox may take up to 14-days to work. The Botox works by stopping the nerves in the skin that control the sweat glands from working. The treatment can last between four and nine months.
A full thorough medical consultation will be carried out before the treatment.
