How do Anti wrinkle injections work?
Anti wrinkle injections work by blocking the acetycholine receptors within the muscle junction this chemical reaction is what is required to make muscles contract. As the receptors no longer function the acetylocholine are unable to bind to the muscle therefore the muscle is not aware it needs to contract.
The group of muscles treated will take between five to 14 days to become inactive.
They will remain inactive between 3 and 6 months.
Anti wrinkle injections can be administered in the lower face also to treat:
- Lip Lines (smokers lines)
- Gummy smile
- Mentalis (orange peel chin)
- Platysma band (neck)
