    Acne is one of the most common skin conditions that affects around 80% of people between the ages of 11 and 30. It is usually developed most commonly during puberty which is why Acne is mistaken for a teenage skin issue but there has been a staggering increase in the amount of adult acne cases over the last few years.

    Now in popular culture, Celebrities have become more prone to discuss their skin issues. In a recent article by Seventeen, 32 celebrities have opened up about their skin issues, embracing the insecurities and flaws of acne. Portraying these real self positive images that don’t airbrush and mask the real struggle of Acne and Blemishes, the stigma surrounding Acne has decreased the more we discuss it.

    While hormonal changes and imbalances is the most common reason for developing acne, lifestyle factors can have a lasting effects on skin issues as well.     • Breeding areas cause spots to multiply causing pustules
    Grade 4: Cystic Acne
    • Most serious form of Acne
    • Causes scarring
    • This can spread across the body not just the face
    • Painful and sore cysts and spots
